Our steamers are safe to use on almost all fabrics — they’re designed to be gentle.
Some models include a fabric brush attachment to help you treat delicate materials with extra care.
The Cirrus 3 Iron Steamer is also safe for all fabric types, even though its front plate is heated.
We generally recommend thinking in reverse: it’s easier to remember what not to steam.
Avoid steaming leather, suede, PU leather, and imitation leather — or any material that doesn’t tolerate water.
If you’re unsure, hold the steamer at a distance and test on an inconspicuous spot first.
For sheer or delicate fabrics, use light steam from a distance — imagine the same effect as hanging a garment in a steamy bathroom.
You can also safely steam upholstery, cushions, blankets, curtains, and bed linen — it’s a great tool for freshening up your home fabrics too.
