Here’s a short guide to help you solve the most common issues with your Pilo 1 Fabric shaver before contacting Customer Support.
Cleaning
One of the most common issues is lint stuck under the razor blades.
If the Pilo isn’t cleaned properly, leftover fuzz can prevent it from working.
Follow these steps to clean your Pilo:
- Unscrew the plastic shield ring from the device
- Use the brush stick to remove fuzz
- Remove the metallic perforated mouthpiece by unscrewing it carefully. Be careful; the blades underneath are sharp
- To clean out excessive fuzz around the rotor, use the end of the brush stick to remove the blade unit and push it straight upward
- Double check that there are no threads or leftover fuzz twirled around the rotor pin
- Also, clean the actual blades. Use the brush and/or blow away the fuzz

Charging
If the battery is drained, charge your Pilo for at least 5 hours before use.
-
Use the included Micro USB to USB-A cable.
-
Plug it into a computer USB port or a power adapter (like a phone charger) connected to a wall outlet.
-
During charging, the red light indicates it’s charging. It turns green when fully charged.
If the green light doesn’t appear, the cord or the device may be damaged.
Power outlet and cord
-
Check that the cord is intact and properly connected to the outlet.
-
Make sure the port is aligned with the plastic body of the device.
-
Only use a Micro USB to USB-A cable, just like the one included with your Pilo.
Button
The power button should click and move freely when pressed.
If the button feels stuck or jammed, the Pilo is likely broken.
