To keep your Cirrus Lite working efficiently and prolong its lifespan, you should descale it after approximately every 20th water tank refill — or whenever you notice that the steam output is lower than usual.
Regular descaling helps prevent mineral buildup and ensures optimal performance.
How to Descale
Detach the Water Tank
Gently pull the water tank outward to remove it from the steamer.
Fill the Water Tank
Fill the tank with clean, soft water only.
Do not add vinegar, descaling agents, or any other liquids.
Reinsert the Water Tank
Place the water tank securely back into the appliance.
Position the Steamer
Hold or place the steamer head over a heat-resistant surface or sink.
Be aware that hot steam and small limescale particles may be released during the process.
Activate Descaling Mode
Press the ON/OFF button to start the steamer.
Within 5 seconds, press the steam button five times to activate descaling mode.
The red LED light will begin flashing, indicating that the descaling process has started.
Descaling Process
The cycle lasts approximately 90 seconds.
During this time, hot steam and water will be released.
The red LED will continue flashing throughout the process.
Completion
When descaling is complete, the LED light will change from red to white.
Refill the water tank with fresh, clean water.
Final Steps
Wipe the front plate with a clean, soft cloth to remove any limescale residue.
If the steamer pulses while warming up, or the light remains solid, it is ready for use.
