Our standing steamer Stratus Professional Steamer was designed with stylists and clothing stores in mind, but it can of course be used at home too, if you want to steam large quantities of clothing on a regular basis.
There are a few things worth considering when using the steamer frequently to help prolong the steamer’s lifetime.
Use soft water
First, the water quality. Please remember to use soft, non-calcareous water. If you live in an area with hard and calcareous tap water, we recommend using filtered water, deionized water, battery water, bottled drinking water, or filtered water. Read more about water quality here.
Descale your steamer
Descale the steamer regularly with descaling solution to prevent limescale clogs. We recommend you descale it approximately between every 20 water tank. Read more about descaling here.
Minimum water level
Don't let the water level go below the sticker on the water tank. If the steamer is on and running dry, this will harm the steamer and might eventually break it. Read more about the minum water level here.
Moving the steamer
The steamer has four wheels that make it easy to move around your store for instance. Please note that the rod set might be exposed to a lot of wear when rolling the steamer around, as it feels natural to grab the rod set when moving it. The rod set might also have a lot of heavy clothes hanging on it occasionally – so please bear in mind to be as gentle as possible when moving your steamer.
If you would need any spare parts due to wear and tear, please send an email to info@steamery.se and we will be happy to assist.
